I really love the design! Its a bit thin though but that’s why its perfect for traveling. I also use it as a picnic mat, not just yoga. Its easy to clean and not as slippery as I thought based on the comments.

I have several “high end” expensive mats that I love all in their different ways. The Yvonne combo is by far & away the BEST mat for hot yoga. It is “soft” and comfortable enough for even the boniest knees! Just give it a little spray with water at the beginning of class until you get warmed up & sweaty; after that the wetter you get the better the grip. If you like hot yoga I really can’t recommend this mat highly enough.

Don’t be put off by the price! I have always bought cheaper exercise mats in the past, and within a couple of months the mats have gone in the bin as they perish so easily. Not only is this mat gorgeous to admire but it also is really non slip – both sides (tried on hardwood and carpeted flooring!) When exercising the sweater the better for grip!

This mat is amazing!! I’m in love. I sweat a ton during practices so much that I had to buy yoga towels due to slipping and sliding everywhere. The towels worked well, but they have their own sets of challenges I.e-bunching, wearing out, and having more laundry to do. This mat is an all In one with the towel attached to it. I just spray it down at the beginning of a practice and as the class and I heat up, so does the grip. I learned the hard way that if it get too wet, it becomes super slippery. If you’re a sweaty beast and going to a hot yoga class, a light spritz is all you need initially.I’m also in love the pattern and color. It gives me lots of focal points.I will say, the mat is pretty thin and doesn’t provide much knee support. I don’t mind the thin and feel it helps with balance now, but it took some getting used to.

I love the aesthetic of the mat, the thickness and the support. The mat is super grippy, even when I sweat buckets. I’m still trying to figure out if I need to use a mat towel or not, but I definitely don’t need one the whole 90 minutes of class. Overall, a beautiful and durable mat!

I love this mat! It is so luxurious feeling when I practice. I was nervous that it would be slippery based on some other reviews but it is actually very grippy right out of the package unlike some other mats that take a bit of breaking in. I do bring a teeny spray bottle to class and give it a light misting before we start to increase the grip and as I heat up (in a regular vinyasa class, not a hot yoga class) it feels even better on the matt. It is like practicing on a suede pillow. I also really dig the simple pattern I bought, it’s distinct and beautiful but not too loud amongst the basic mats surrounding it. As I move, my body makes soft patterns on it too that change and get wiped away at the end. I am so pleased and I would highly recommend this mat!

I love this mat! I will say that I teach both hot yoga and vinyasa flow yoga. If I am not participating in a hot class, you do not stick to the mat as well. The directions suggest you spray down the mat with water, and I would agree. However, If you are taking a hot class it will grip almost immediately. I love that it is washable and it is very thick and comfortable for savasana. It is also a little longer than my old mat, which I appreciate because I am almost 5’8 so I can stick way off of the mat.

Been using it for 6 months now and it’s still sturdy and vivid. I’ve hosed it off twice. It def works for a sweaty gal like me. I only take hot yoga and I sweat more than anyone in the class. Like, people actually look at me with concern. But this mat doesn’t slip and it smells decent. I also use mat spray after every practice and I try to let it air out (unfolded) at home.

If you’re a serious yoga practitioner who devotes considerable time to practice, I think this mat is worth every penny. I was worried about embarassing slipping episodes in-studio (as has happened quite a few times in the past) but so far this mat has got my back and I’m truly grateful. I really don’t care for fancy brands or any of that snobby nonsense but after trying a fair number of cheaper mats (Everlast, Gaiam) I got so fed up. I needed a solid mat that is as resilient as I am and this one is amazing. It’s allowed me to focus my energy on advancing my practice instead of worrying about potential slips and injuries. I still recommend bringing a smaller towel to class and spraying your mat with water in the beginning but otherwise this mat is the miracle I needed. Beyond just being visually stunning it has surpassed my expectations. I’m so grateful for this beauty.

Well made, durable, nice feel to it. Feels almost leathery. Very easy to roll out and it lays flat. Nice grip on the circular pattern bottom. Perfect thickness to it and overall has a nice heft to it when carried. Top pattern also feels grippy but not noticeable, feels flat and has the right amount of give to the energy return coming back to you, if you know what I mean, it feels just right. Honestly it looks really, really nice. I highly recommend this!
